Yeah Yeah I know it's Valentine's day...but I've been rather slow in adding a new post. So I want to wish you all a Happy and Sexy 2014.
Ok now the niceties are out of the way, onto the subject of this post.
Let's talk about Sex....Etiquette.
Now I know that good manners seem to be going out the window by the hour since the advent of the internet. People seem to think that they can do what they want, when they want cause it's their God given right. The level or just plain rudness in cyber space is unbelievable.
What brought me to this post is something I noticed going on at Olina this morning.
I'm talking about a few incidence of Peeping Toms.
Now as all of you who've been reading this blog know by now, I'm no prude and I do my share of what we call in SL "Perving".
I think "Perving" is just fine. I mean in a world where walls have no meaning, you have to expect people will watch what you're doing. Also if you're having sex on a public sim, specifically made for group sex...you have to expect it.
But what I saw this morning went beyond that...actually crossing a line. Hard thing to do considering this is SL.
I'm talking about the guys (and yes this is mostly for you gentlemen) that think it's ok to look around, find a couple having sex AND then TP just at the foot of their bed, with no prior invitation.
I MEAN SERIOUSLY!!! Guys! WTF?
Now I'll name no names but this morning, two ladies were enjoying eachother's company in the beach house at Olina.
What happened next kind of made my jaw drop. First one male member silently lands at the patio, within a few second of what I can only guess was him looking at his radar, he quickly decided it would be perfectly ok for him to TP his as right into the house and stand by the doorway to watch the girls go at each other.
Now...some of you may say "Wow what a Newb move". But even more flabbergasting was the fact this Schmuck was 5 y.o. I mean COME ON...If you've been in SL for 5 years, you should know better.
When a couple start having sex in a public spot, like the Patio, then I agree, you can stand around, jerks off if you want. They're obviously doing it to be seen. But when people move to a secluded spot on the sim. What the hell makes you think they want to see your sorry ass standing 1m away from them.
I mean really, how sad and pathetic do you have to be, when you're best hope of having sex is that you'll go stand beside people who actually having sex, in the hopes that to get rid of you they might actually invite you to join in?
Now!, having witness that, I figured ok, it happens but not that often. WELL...maybe 15 min later. The poor girls having managed to get rid of one Peeping Tom, another one shows up. I wouldn't have blamed the girls if they'd just taken their shit and ran off.
Now to MY POINT...
We join groups like Olina, because the member are adult and open minded. Some of us enjoy having open public sex. But when a couple or a group as retired to a more secluded spot on the sim this generally mean they don't wish to be disturbed. So boys and girls (again mostly the boys here), let's revise Rick's rules of Etiquette.
1. If you've not been invited to join a couple of group, it's because they don't want your sorry ass. So stay away.
2. It is NOT ok to IM people who are having sex and ask stupid question like "Can I be next?" or the ever popular "Wow that's hot, might I join you?"
Take it from me if whom ever is doing the fucking feels like they'd like to add another person they know how to contact you. So basically "DON'T CALL US WE'LL CALL YOU".
3. Perving is perfectly acceptable, as long as you do not disturb the people actually having sex. This is why the Linden gracefully gave us a Zoom.
That pretty much covers it.
The bad thing about all this is I know this message won't reach the people it's intended for. You know who I mean, the pitiful schmucks who think that it's sexy if the move in on every poor person that shows up.
On that note, just cause you've joined a "Swingers club" does NOT mean that every woman or man for that matter WANTS to have sex with you. Just saying.
May I suggest if you're so desperate for a jerk off that you have to stand in front of people who don't want you there....Go to a porn site...plenty out there.

P.S.: May I also suggest if you're a victim of unwanted attention at Olina, PLEASE feel free to take a picture and report the intruder to the powers that be.
